Thanks for the link, Jenny. I have enjoyed catching up on your blog and previous posts a little bit tonight. LOVED the Don Williams one....brought back memories of that weird glow coming from the boys dorm and the sound of The Reverend wafting across the street. Sometimes nothing but the classics will do. :) I can't believe how much I've seen your kiddos grow just through blogging! We have birthdays around here over the next 10 days...my two "babies" will be 5 and ONE. It's hard on this Momma's heart. They just don't stay our babies for long do they? Blessings...~
Haven't had a chance to check out the link as of yet, but just wanted to say "hello" as I spent a bit of time catching up on the blog world. Always enjoy your thoughts and family news.
Have stalled a bit after book VIII on Augustine. Have really enjoyed it so far, but I read it in fits and spurts. Don't feel another fit coming on just yet - maybe this weekend. :)

"There's over 2,500 verses in the Bible that deal with the issue of helping the poor, the sick, the hungry. God set it up that we are to address this issue and that he works through us. His Plan B? Well, I don't know what Plan B is. Plan A is the way he set it up." Tony Hall --former U.S. ambassador for humanitarian issues, on the global food crisis

I walked out on the hill just now. It is exalting, delicious, to stand embraced by the shadows of a friendly tree with the wind tugging at your coattail and the heavens hailing your heart, to gaze and glory and give oneself again to God—what more could a man [woman] ask? Oh, the fullness, pleasure, sheer excitement of knowing God on earth! I care not if I never raise my voice again for Him, if only I may love Him, please Him. . . . If only I may see Him, touch His garments, and smile into His eyes.

Jenny--
Thanks so much for the link! I enjoyed all your sidebar pictures and quotes--I have that Lauren Winner one marked in my copy of Girl Meets God, too!
Oh, and I signed up our next two birthday boys for free Red Robin burgers too. There's one in our back yard, practically, where we live now.
A blessed Ash Wednesday to you--
Jeanne
