He has certainly enjoyed wearing them this week. We've suspected he needed them from early on in the school year as he was having trouble seeing the board...however he hardly said anything and was doing well in school so it was sort of one of those ideas that flitted in and out of my head. But when Tom took him hunting it became very obvious he could not see the deer or antelope at any distance. We promptly made an appointment and he's really excited by the new world he's discovering now with glasses (just a little frustrated by sports...which I'm sure will continue to be an issue).
Jenny, Please remember to take him to the eye doc every year as we just took Patrick cuz he was complaining about not seeing good and his vision had gotten worse in a year. I guess I didn't realize it changes so quickly while they are growing. Love you. When are you gonna come see us???????

speaks to me...
"There's over 2,500 verses in the Bible that deal with the issue of helping the poor, the sick, the hungry. God set it up that we are to address this issue and that he works through us. His Plan B? Well, I don't know what Plan B is. Plan A is the way he set it up." Tony Hall --former U.S. ambassador for humanitarian issues, on the global food crisis

I walked out on the hill just now. It is exalting, delicious, to stand embraced by the shadows of a friendly tree with the wind tugging at your coattail and the heavens hailing your heart, to gaze and glory and give oneself again to God—what more could a man [woman] ask? Oh, the fullness, pleasure, sheer excitement of knowing God on earth! I care not if I never raise my voice again for Him, if only I may love Him, please Him. . . . If only I may see Him, touch His garments, and smile into His eyes.
